We’re delighted to introduce you to our new website. If you’ve arrived here from our Halfsize Mannequins website, don’t worry—you’re in the right place! We’re still the same team, offering the same products. For 2025, we’ve embarked on an exciting project to unite all our websites under the umbrella of Corkwood Creative.

We’re especially proud of our half-scale mannequins, which we’ve been making for over 10 years. During that time we have supplied some of the UKs top fashion design colleges as well as film studios, clothing designers and students of fashion.

Each of our half- and third-scale dress forms is individually cast, dressed, and mounted on its stand in our workshops in Fairlight, East Sussex. Using traditional artisan skills in sewing, woodwork, and mold making.

With decades of experience in the fashion industry, we’ve designed our dress forms as a modern update to the classic half-scale dress forms once common in workrooms and classrooms. They’re versatile tools that cater to both students and professional fashion designers, offering inspiration and precision for your creative projects.

Benefits of working with half scale mannequins    

• Half scale is physically easier to cope with and takes up less room in the workshop   
• Half scale uses less fabric in the design incubation phase of fashion pattern development and so is cheaper.
• Half scale is so much more portable
• Half scale is easier to critique since you can see the entire design at once, up close, thus making changes to scale and dimensions easier to keep the design in balance

• Half scale is reliable and takes a lot of the guesswork out of pattern development

• Half scale is correctly proportioned to a full scale size and can be up-scaled using one of several methods: just choose the right one for you.

The Standard Half Size ladies Mannequin

• These mannequins are fully pinnable with a detatchable base.
• Our ladies outer covers are a 95%Cotton and 5% elastane mix.
• The beech wooden stoppers are detatchable so it is easy to add different covers on top.
• Our lady mannequins use measurements that correspond to what we lovingly refer to as a UK full size 10.
• Chest 43 cms
  Waist 33cms
  Hips 45cms
• Height from nape of the neck to the base is 72 cms

These are our half size men’s mannequin with offset stands to allow for dressing with trousers

• These mannequins are fully pinnable with a detachable base.
• Our Men’s outer covers are a cotton, polyester and 5% elastane mix.
• The Wooden stoppers are detachable so it is easy to add different covers on top.
• Our mannequins use measurements that correspond to what we lovingly refer to
  as a UK full size 10.
• Chest 54 cms, Waist 43cms Hips 50cms
• Height from nape of the neck to the base is 77 cms.
• Mannequins come with paper pattern to allow you to make your own top covers.

The ladies offset halfsize mannequin (To allow dressing with trousers)

• These mannequins are fully pinnable with a detachable base.
• Our men’s outer covers are a Cotton/Polyester and 5% elastane mix.
• The beech wooden stoppers are detachable so it is easy to add different covers on
  top.
• Our lady mannequins use measurements that correspond to what we call
    a UK full size 10.

Third Size Mannequins

Our new Third Size Mannequins are individually handcrafted by artisans in Sussex, blending both new and traditional skills encompassing model making, wood working and sewing. This versatile model has been created to accommodate both trousers and dresses and mounts both centrally or from the right-hand side.

The Third Size Mannequins are fully pinnable.

Our ladies’ outer covers are a 95% Cotton and 5% elastane mix.

The beech wooden stoppers are detachable so you can add different top covers.

These mannequins represent a third of a size 10.
